Boxes of Blood (Isaac/open)

Gabriella found herself wandering into the hospital wing at night. It was approximately one in the morning, but that didn't bother her much. She was still rather weak from her mental battle with the other vampire, but that didn't stop her from wandering the corridors. But something smelled strange in the deserted hospital wing. Like the blood that Isabelle had given her a while ago. Gabriella walked toward the smell. Hidden behind some shelves and other boxes she located a few boxes where the smell was coming from. Hesitantly, she opened the first one. Packages of blood were right there. Isabelle must've left them. Sure they were from a month ago, but the packaging kept them fresh. Gabriella opened another box, taking out a package of blood. The hospital wing doors opened and she whipped around to see...

No one other than Hogwarts other vampire, Isaac. The smell had tempted him to wander absently to the hospital wing. He didn't even realize where he was going until he saw Gabriella. "Good evening Miss Weasley," Isaac said smoothly. "Fancy running into you here."

"Uh yeah," Gabriella said, feeling almost like a guilty kid caught looking at presents before Christmas. She opened her mouth to tell Isaac about the blood, but her words failed her for the moment. She held up a package, trying to ignore her urge to tear them all open and drink them.

Isaac's blood needs were still fulfilled from the last incident with Death Eaters, when he had turned his parents' dungeon into a bloodbath. He still had horrible recurring images of it whenever he closed his eyes. "Go right ahead, I don't think Isabelle will be coming back any time soon to claim them." said Isaac.

Gabriella glanced at the package of blood, then back at Isaac, then at the blood again. No, she couldn't do it. Despite her longing for the blood and the extreme satisfaction it would give her, she couldn't bring herself to drink it. The thought of drinking someone's blood again was quite repulsive. But Isaac would want her too, she needed the blood. Gabriella set the bag back into the box. "I hunted last night," she lied. Actually, she was planning on hunting tonight. Still, her eyes were a chocolate brown, not giving anything away. "We'll save it for later."

Isaac raised his eyebrows, she didn't smell like it. But what did he know? He was still a newborn, how was he supposed to know if someone had just hunted? "All right." Isaac said skeptically. He had a strange feeling that he was being lied to. Isaac didn't like it.

Gabriella pushed the boxes back into their hiding places so no one else would find them. "Alright, what would you like to do now?" she asked Isaac. She stood up to face Isaac now, her legs feeling stiffer than usual. She still didn't have her old strength back. But Gabriella was determined to not let it show. She didn't like feeling weak.

Isaac placed an arm around Gabriella's shoulders and gave a faint smile. "Anything you would like to do is all right with me. The world is our oyster, my love." said Isaac. The possibilities were endless, just as long as they didn't get caught, all would be well.

The thing that Gabriella really wanted to do was go hunting, but that was hardly an option at the moment. She had just told Isaac that she had gone hunting last night. Gabriella pondered this for a moment. A walk would be nice, she supposed. "How about we take a walk outside," Gabriella suggested, walking toward the door. Each step weighed more heavily than usual, like she was carrying an extra load. She ignored it as much as possible.

"All right," said Isaac. He grabbed the door first and held it open for Gabriella. As they walked down the corridor, he noticed something strange. He was having to slow down for Gabriella, instead of it being vice versa as usual. He thought nothing of it, he just tried to stay at a pace which she could keep up with. Isaac gently took her hand in his with a small smile.

Gabriella smiled slightly. His hand almost entirely covered her small one. Gabriella kept pace with him as much as she could, fearing that if she went any faster she would only wear herself out more. Perhaps they could sit on that rock by the lake once they got there.

Isaac slowed himself considerably, he was getting worried, normally Gabriella was the one running ahead of him while he tried to keep up. He opened the door to the outside and held it open for Gabriella. He was a gentlemanly type that way.

Gabriella gave him a large smile and slipped through the open door, pausing outside for Isaac to close it. Then she grabbed his hand again, liking the comfort it gave her. Walking slow was certainly a change from her normal ways, but she found that she rather enjoyed it, despite her sore legs.

The night must have been cold, for their unneeded breathing could be seen on the black air, like the thick morning fog that haunted the grounds in late autumn. Isaac felt strange, he could feel the cold air hitting him, but he wasn't cold. It was the strangest sensation in the world.

Gabriella could tell the air was cold, despite the fact that she didn't feel cold. She didn't know quite how, though. Perhaps it was the scent, or the sound, that made it seem cold. She wasn't sure. Gabriella kept walking, putting such strange vampire things out of her mind for now.
